Week Number Thirty Eight

Thirty-eighth Week of School

This week features School Day at the K, a visit from the eighth grade students from V Lindsay, Elementary Field Day, and final preps for our two remaining spring musicals including Bugz on Thursday night, May 9. Make sure you add them to your calendar!

We also enjoyed the annual Midland AcroClub (MAC) Gymnastics Home Show which was held on Tuesday, May 7. The show featured a routine combining MAC and MAC Junior (Grades 1-6). The theme is based on Acts 1:8 in which Jesus bids us to be His witnesses into all the world.  Come and see, and then Go and Tell!

We also are featuring the first edition of Miranda's Meanders, an occasional look back at the month just passed, authored by award-winning journalist Camron Miranda. His article on Adventist Education was featured on adventistreview.org, and was one of the Top 5 shared stories on their website during April, If you enjoy it, let him know!

Miranda’s Meanders - April 2024

by Camron Miranda

It is said that April showers bring May flowers. We all love this Kansas weather, don’t we? We always get more than just showers, but additional surprises of winter weather and summer weather both. Thankfully though, Kansas doesn’t completely dislike us, and gave permitting weather for the important dates.

Sunny weather always seems to boost our optimism, which was perfect around test days, concert days, and plain Mondays. Many things about the month of April were great! The 2024 solar eclipse was an amazing sight to see (with the proper eyewear, of course).

Further Details     Hot Lunch Ordering

Please note, there is no change to the ordering or payment for Tuesday and Friday hot lunches. They remain the same.

I enjoy it when the Pastors and Elders come into our classrooms and pray with us. It shows they really care about us.
